I'll post who does it right and how they do it soon! ;) But in the meantime, here's who's doing it WAY wrong.

Being a Makeup Artist, I've become naturally, obsessed with my canvas', the SKIN. Skin is your largest organ, so you need to take care of it! The theme for FALL is - GENTLENESS, DETOX, PROTECTION. So even though you may have a particular concern, you should maintain address it, but in a more delicate way.

My favorite gentle brands for skincare is Dior, Avene, Clarins and La Roche Posay. Ironically, these are all formulated for SPAS across the world - and all created in Paris/France. Care for healthy skin began in France, and to this day, their always above and ahead with the latest in technologies of the skin.

If you haven't invested in your skincare yet for fall, expect to pay ...but REMEMBER, just like makeup, you get what you pay for!

2012 Emmy Awards- Makeup/Hair Picks

Ok......this was a hard one for me! I was going through all the ladies of the evening, and was trying to find something that stood out, that's something new..... It was hard. Unfortunately, I felt this year, there was a lot of the "same". I don;t mean it in a bad way, everyone really looked stunning. But one thing I noticed that is an overdone trend, that should be bumped up for the Emmy Awards - nude lips, beach hair. Looks great on anyone, but I expected more from ladies like Heidi Klum, Julianna Hough, and Kat Dennings... (i'll explain more on my "why this doesn't work for me" post..)

Here are some of the looks I DO approve of. Some simple, but more color on the lips ...even if it's meant to be a softer look, neutral pinks/mauve are better than nude for this event.

Bolder lips are always great for me. Zoey, Christina and Kelly nailed it. I'm also loving Christina's waves - they are still polished, which is perfect on her!

Also I'm totally digging the 60's inspired trend from the beautiful Ginnifer Goodwin. That eye makeup is perfection <3 . Lastly, Kelly Osbourne is ALWAYS a fave for me. The hair, the lip color the dress. love love love. Lastly, Guiliana Rancic's hair is gorg!!! I'd wish she would have done a touch more color on her lips, as this is her classic look that she regularly rocks on E! News. Her makeup artist Catalina Su, is the true expert on that bronze smokey and nude lip combo.

long time no post! I know so so busy. I thought today I'd post about some of my young professional clients that I've had the opportunity of working with and continuing to be apart of their journey on their life paths. All of my clients are absolutely amazing, but I thought I'd share a few clients who have had super success and achievements lately and who I have huge confidence that they will go so far in their dreams :)

Meet Danielle Rodney (aka Dano); or Miss Monroe (from my previous Marilyn Monroe photoshoot).

Danielle is an incredibly amazing person who graduated from Laurentian University with a Degree in Gerontology. When Danielle isn't devoting her time to the elderly, she is working on her fitnessssss. Really! Recently, Danielle has joined MAGNUM supplements as one of their Bikini Athletes. Danielle has competed twice, and has had huge accomplishments in under a year! Not only has she transformed her fitness lifestyle, she has placed in top 5 in her first competition and will be competing in OPA in the FALL!!!!!!! Meet Rebecca. Okay, so I'll probably be kinda biased with this one...but hey! Rebecca is my cousin, accountant extraordinaire and aspiring model! It's no brainer that standing at 5'9 that Rebecca's interests include fashion, runway and the camera. Rebecca is currently in University studying to become an accountant (yea, she's smart too!) She's quick on her feet and very creative which is why, currently being represented by Model Work (Sutherland's Student Division), has often been told she should be in film and television. This is something Rebecca is currently considering... To get this look - use Folie D'iris (Lise Watier), and Violet Pencil. Rim the whole eye with Tres Noir Black Kohl Pencil and place a pair of Demi lashes on. Viola, Violet!
